One of the objectives underlying our Mission Statement is to be an “effective corporate citizen.” We donate not only our money but also our time to support worthy organizations that we think need and deserve our support. We established the Cavignac & Associates Charitable Fund to provide a vehicle for our entire company to contribute their money to good causes.

We set up a special bank account and arranged with our payroll provider to have money automatically deducted each payday. Nearly all employees participate. In 2005 we raised over $7,500.  On top of that, our employees gave nearly $2,500 for Hurricane Katrina relief, which was matched individually by the owners and again by the Agency for a total of $7,410. We also organized an MS Walk Team and collected over $7,500 from outside sources in 2005.

During the course of the year a committee decides where our contributions will do the most good. In general we don't donate cash but focus on things people can use. In the last few years we have purchased holiday gifts for teenagers at Polinsky Children's Center, the Monarch School (a high school for homeless children) and the San Pasqual Academy (a boarding school for high school age children in the foster care system).
